The Waukesha Asbestos Co. building reflects the popularity of Tudor inspired designs in the 1930’s.  Key characteristics of this style are the broad gable, half-timbering with stucco, and decorative bargeboards.  A small oriel window is centered above the main entrance—see our previous blog to learn more about oriel windows.  The first story features a main entrance with stone surround, large display windows, and is veneered with brick.
