congratulations sixteenth street community health on their new layton location grand opening!

Sixteenth Street Community Health hosted the Grand Opening of their new Layton location on S. 27th Street today, complete with a speech from Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Friendly staff members gave tours of the facility, which includes patient rooms for the medical clinic, AODA treatment center, and children’s Day Treatment and Art Therapy services.

As part of the design/build team, Allume Architects worked with the client to transform the 11,000 square foot former pain management clinic with an unusual and ineffective room plan into the newly designed medical clinic and treatment center.  The new floor plan is more efficient and streamlined for both patient and staff flow and has received praise from many new visitors.

Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers’ mission is to improve the health and well-being of Milwaukee and surrounding communities by providing quality, patient-centered, family-based health care, health education and social services, free from linguistic, cultural and economic barriers.
